The final of the junior leagues's competition has taken place on Birchgrove Oval. The competing clubs are the Iona football club, winners of the Balmain Junior Rugby League competition and Waterloo Oak Football Club winners of South Sydney Junior Rugby League competition. This match was played for the possession of the Munn Cup, which the winner has the right to hold for a period of 12 months. The above clubs have already won a set of medals presented by their respective district clubs.
Balmain and South Sydney were the first Junior League associations to form back in April 1908 and at the completion of their respective junior competitions were invited to participate in the first inter junior district challenge match. Glebe rugby union identity W.J.Munn donated a trophy for the match. Waterloo Oaks in a tight contest won the match 11 to 10.
