At Wentworth Park South Sydney won by 10 points to 3. The attendance numbered about 2000. McCabe could not play owing to an injury received in the match against Balmain. H.Butler kicked off for South Sydney and after some play in South Sydney's twenty-five, Glebe were making well for the line when a throw forward caused a scrum. Hallett next got away with the ball, but was brought down by Glebe's full-back. A penalty kick at goal by Conlin for South Sydney failed. Glebe again worked to South Sydney's territory, when South came along well again with the ball at the toe, but nothing resulted. South Sydney again came with, a passing rush, but with the same result. Play then continued in Glebe's twenty-five until McKivatt secured from a scrum, kicked and followed on Hallett stopped the rush, but a free was given. The game waa suspended for a few minutes so that attention could he given to a Glebe player. Glebe pressed hard for some minutes. Butler (South Sydney) next secured, passed to Leveson, to Davis who was grassed near Glebe's line. After some up and down play, Davis (South Sydney) got away but was brought down. Darmody was here substituted for Fry, owing to the latter receiving a kick in the head. South Sydney again came along with a passing rush. Shortly afterwards Butler secured passed to Leveson, to Davis, who got over, amidst excitement. Conlin's attempt at goal was successful. Half-time score South Sydney, 5 to nil.
After the interval Griffiths kicked off, some up and down play followed. Spence scored from a passing rush. Conlin converted. South Sydney 10 to nil. Some very brisk play up and down the field ensued, and then came a passing rush by Glebe, which ended near Souths line. A South Sydney man here received attention for an injury to an ear. Glebe shortly afterwards received a penalty kick, Hickey attempting a goal but the ball just hit the bar. From Moroney, Hardcastle secured and scored, but Algie's attempt at goal failed. South Sydney 10 to 3. The brisk play and the excitement shown throughout the match continued to the end, no alteration being made in the scores.

South Sydney defeated Glebe by 9 to 5 in a fast game at Wentworth Park. For South Sydney Cohen scored a try, which McNamara converted, besides kicking two penalty goals. C.Davis scored a try and Platt converted it for Glebe. South Sydney kicked off, and fast open play ensued. Penalties to both teams were resultless, and then a loose rush by Glebe carried to the line, where C. Davis secured and scored. Splatt added the extras. Give-and-take play followed the kick-out. South Svduey gradually worked their way down to Glebe's 25, where Glebe were penalised, and McNamara's kick at goal was successful. Glebe attacked stronger, but the defence was solid, and a, timely free kinder. South Sydney carried the ball to near Glebe's 25. where a series of scrums took place. The half-time whistle blew wi:h the scores: Glebe 5: South Sydney 2. From Glebe's kick-off South Sydney pressed. Several times a score looked certain, but over-anxiety spoilt them. A free carried them to within stricking distance. Scrum after scrum followed. South Sydney finally-breaking through. Cohen scoring. McNamara added the extras. Encouraged by the success they continued to press hard, working to the 25. Scrums followed till gathering a return. Darmody, with a great run, carried the ball to within a yard or so of the line.
