South Sydney legend Clive Churchill was named in the NSW Country Team of the Century last night (Wednesday), adding yet another accolade to an already much-heralded career. Churchill's selection at fullback in the NSW Country Team of the Century sits alongside other honours such as his appointment as an Immortal of the game, his South Sydney Dream Team selection and his recent selection in the Australian Team of the Century. Three Rugby League Immortals and seven Test captains were included in the NSW Country Team of the Century announced at a gala function at the Wollongong Entertainment Centre. The strength of the 13-man side emphasises Country's proud contribution to the game over the decades, right through to the current NRL competition.
