Garrett Crossman Signs for 2009-10
5th October 2008
The South Sydney Rabbitohs have announced the signing of front-row forward Garret Crossman for the 2009 and 2010 seasons today. Crossman, 25, played with Hull KR in the UK Super League in 2008, having previously won an NRL premiership with the Melbourne Storm in 2007. Crossman, who stands 188cm tall and weighs in at 112kg, made his NRL debut for the Penrith Panthers in 2004 before joining the Storm in 2006. Crossman has played 59 NRL games and 25 matches in the UK Super League. Rabbitohs CEO Shane Richardson says the introduction of Crossman to the Club will add some starch to the Rabbitohs forward pack in 2009 and beyond. “Crossman is a hard working, tough front-rower who will complement our forward pack,” Mr Richardson said. “Garret knows what it takes to win in the NRL having played with the premiership-winning Melbourne Storm team, and he has played strongly in the Super League this season for Hull KR. He’s keen to come home and perform for the Rabbitohs in the NRL, and we’re looking forward to having him join the squad in November.
