Player Farewells
2009 makes the farewell for a number of players. Firstly Craig Wing our last remaining player from the pre-1999 era. Craig played in our last ever game in 1999 after making his debut in 1998 and will be long remembered for "that try" against Cronulla. David Fa'alogo also leaves for the ESL after playing his whole FG career with the Rabbitohs after coming up from our feeder club Netown. And who could ever forget that puch on Anasta ! Jamian Lowe also leaves for the ESL and will be remebred for the "squirrel grip" punch in the Titans game. David Kidwell played his last NRL game for Souths in Perth and has since played out the season for the Bears. He is the last remaining Adelaide Ram still playing. Michael Greenfield came back to Souths last year but has been out for most of the season with injury.
Scrums
NRL has almost done away with scrums, which is such a waste. We need to bring back the scrum as a valid part of our game, by firstly utting the ball in the center of the scrum and then moving the scrum back to 10m in from the sideline. And finally allowing scrums to be packed up to 5m away from the try lines.
Bears Top 4
Bears can clinch a top 4 spot if they can beat Windsor and Cronulla win by less points on the weekend.
Webster, Vaivai NYC Awards
