After a short stint with the Bears Joe Williams has decided to head home to Cowra and play bush footy.
The Bears continue to have a horid start to the season. Even with Capewell, Crossmand and Clark this Bears team is still struggling. The self imposed salary cap by the Bears is leading to a very ordinary team in 2010.
Reserver Grade continues to be a major torn in the side of all NSW based NRL Teams. We need to seriously change the struction of Reserve Grade in NSW. The first major changes needs to come from the NSWRL and the NSW-CRL administration merging so that the game can move forward in NSW. Then for NRL based clubs we need to go back to either a National Reserve Grade or a NSWRL Reserve Grade comp with all 11 NSW based NRL teams, plus Melbourne and the Warriors forming a NSW Premier League. And then add Newtown, Norths and Wests Magpies.
Then the NSW Bundy Cup can be setup properly with Sydney teams (Ryde-Eastwood, Wentworthville, Windsor, St Mary's, Cabramatta, Mounties, Sydney Bulls) playing against country divisions (Central Coast, Northern Rivers, New England, Western Plains, Monaro, Riverina, Illawarra, Adelaide, Perth)
