The South Sydney Rabbitohs have re-united the Lowe brothers in the red and green with prop forward Jaiman Lowe returning to the Club for the remainder of the 2010 season. The Rabbitohs have also confirmed that Ben Lowe has re-signed with the Club for the 2011 and 2012 seasons. Jaiman Lowe, 27, returns to the Rabbitohs after playing the first half of this season with the Northern Pride in the Queensland Cup. Jaiman Lowe has played 98 NRL games to date, including 44 for the Rabbitohs between 2006 and 2009. Jaiman has returned to the Club to cover for Ben Ross who is unlikely to take the field this season. Ben Lowe, 25, has re-signed for the next two seasons with the South Sydney Club after showing some wonderful form at lock for the Club over the first half of the season. Ben Lowe will play his 36th NRL match tonight against the North Queensland Cowboys. Rabbitohs CEO Shane Richardson is very pleased to be re-uniting the brothers for the rest of the season. “Ben has been one of the unsung heroes of our forward pack so far this season and he thoroughly deserves his contract extension,” Mr Richardson said. “Jaiman has been in good form in the Queensland Cup and it was a difficult decision to see him leave the Club last year. We know he can do the job, as he has on many previous occasions, and we’re pleased to have him back at the Club. “Both players have always said it is a highlight of their careers to play alongside their brother in the Rabbitohs jersey and we’re happy that both Lowe brothers will be with us for the rest of the 2010 season.” Jaiman Lowe said he cannot wait to get back to the Rabbitohs and into the NRL. “I can’t tell you how excited I am to be coming back,” Jaiman said. “It was disappointing to leave last year and I’ve had my fingers crossed ever since to get back into the NRL. “I’m really happy that the chance has come and it’s with Souths. I’d prefer to play with Souths than any other Club. “Not many people get one chance at the NRL so to get a second chance is great. I just can’t wait to get down to Sydney and have another crack at the NRL with South Sydney.”
