Rabbitohs big man David Taylor has again been selected for the Queensland State of Origin team which was announced today, and in another great sign for the Rabbitohs, Ben Lowe has also received his first Origin call up in the 18 man squad. Taylor and Lowe will represent their state against New South Wales in State of Origin III being played on Wednesday 7 July at the Rabbitohs’ home ground at ANZ Stadium. Taylor has shown he has what it takes in Origin I and II and is now joined by hardworking Lock, Ben Lowe who has been outstanding for the Rabbitohs this season. Rabbitohs CEO Shane Richardson could not be happier to see David Taylor going so well in Origin this year and now to be joined by his hardworking teammate Ben Lowe, is a great sign for the Club. “Dave has been going great but we are all really proud of Ben on his selection, everyone at South Sydney is really pleased for him,” Mr Richardson said. “This re-enforces that you can earn representative jerseys playing for South Sydney. “Ben has been working hard all season and has really stepped his game up this year. Whether you support New South Wales or Queensland, as Rabbitohs Members and supporters I’m sure we’ll all be behind Ben and Dave next Wednesday night.”
