The hub of the Rabbitohs’ off field headquarters is up and running with staff from most departments moving into the new office space at Level 4, 265 Chalmers Street in Redfern today. The office space, which overlooks the Australian Technology Park Performance Centre at Redfern Oval, is complete with 20 offices, an open plan workstation area, boardroom, meeting room, merchandise store and storeroom. Craig Carroll from CMC Interiors, the Club sponsor that completed the fit out of the premises, said working on this project with the Rabbitohs has been an “absolute pleasure.” “We started working on the office space in July of this year and we’re really happy with the results,” Craig said. “It’s the first project we’ve done with Souths and we’ve been able to form a relationship with many other Club sponsors who were sub-contractors on this project. Hopefully we can work with them in the future as well. It’s been a pleasure working with them.” Craig said they started five months ago with an open shell and built all of the office spaces, air conditioning systems, lighting, floor coverings and work stations; the total fit out. “We’ve got two companies, one a developer and one is interiors. This is the bread and butter of our interiors business, CMC Interiors,” Craig said. “I’ve been in business for 30 years and CMC has been going since 1992.” Craig said this job was made all the more special because it was for his football club. “I bleed red and green,” Craig said. “I played Harold Matthews and SG Ball for Souths so to be involved with the Club in this fit out and as a sponsor has been fantastic. “To see the red and green theme throughout the offices, from the floor coverings to the paint on the walls, to the mural outside the merchandise store, it really says that this new office space is South Sydney.” If you would like to contact CMC Interiors about a project you may have, call Craig on 0417 649 012. The Rabbitohs Membership team will be fully functioning from the new offices at Level 4, 265 Chalmers St in Redfern from Monday 6 December. The Rabbitohs Merchandise Store will be in full operation at the new location Monday 13 December. The store at 104 George St in Redfern will remain open with normal operating hours until that date. You and your business could also be in the thick of the action at Rabbitohs HQ with generous office space available in the newly re-developed 265 Chalmers Street building. Approximately 750-square-metres of vacant commercial space is available on the fourth floor of the Chalmers St building, directly adjoining the new Rabbitohs Football Offices with views of the Australian Technology Park Performance Centre at Redfern Oval. The space would be most suitable for commercial offices and features modern amenities, a large balcony overlooking Redfern Park, good natural light, dual lift access, seven designated car spaces, whilst being only 2km from the CBD and in close proximity to public transport. The Rabbitohs are looking for one tenant to join the Rabbitohs family on the fourth floor, with the Rabbitohs Football Offices comprising a brand new retail shop with museum and memorabilia items, a Players’ area, coaching offices and video analysis systems, Membership facilities, as well as the operations of the South Sydney Football Club. Also occupying the building will be Souths on Chalmers, the re-incarnation of South Sydney Leagues Club, and a Woolworths supermarket on the ground floor which is scheduled to be operating before Christmas 2010. The Rabbitohs train directly across the road at their main training base at the Australian Technology Park Performance Centre, and will be conducting their individual video analysis and meetings in the offices right next door to your business. The 750-square-metres of office space puts you within arm’s length of the most famous Club in the NRL and is just five minutes from the CBD of Sydney, in the most modern and picturesque area of the southern districts of the city. With the Rabbitohs as your next door neighbour and the team training across the road, not to mention the beautiful Redfern Park adjacent to the training field, what more could you ask for in finding the perfect location from which to conduct your business. “It’s very exciting for the Football Club to be moving into our new home, bringing the Rabbitohs family together again,” Rabbitohs CEO Shane Richardson said. “It’s been a long haul but we’ve finally got there with the help of Trivest (who are the property developers of 265 Chalmers Street), and also our fit-out project manager Craig Carroll and his team at CMC Interiors. “It’s wonderful to have us all together again in the one precinct, and we’re looking forward to being joined by a dynamic company on the fourth floor of the building.”
