2012 Coaching speculation
Who will be our coach in 2012 continues as the main off season topic at the moment. Whoever it is, they need to improve our defense. As without defense we cannot make the playoffs on a regular basis.
Backup Halves
Souths went officialy on the look out for backup halves after the long term injuries to our backup halves Mundine and Reynolds during the trials.
19,000 Memberships
Souths passed 19,000 normal members this week and well on our target to reach 20,000 this year. This is a record membership for our club once again eclipsing last years record of 18,716.
WCC need changes
It is very obvious that the World Club Challenge needs changes. The situation that a club must negotiate with the ESL on the details of the match is beyond a joke. This is the domain of the IRL not even the ESL or NRL. If the game is to remain as a one of, the the game needs to be played in 3rd weekend Oct of the same year. Otherwise why not play it as a pre-season comp.
