Souths battled out a solid win on the back of good disapline against a desperate Parramatta outfit.
What a tackle. In a moment when the game could have swung around a Souths error by GI resulted in a famous Sandow intercept. However Reynolds was not going to alow the person who was deemed better than him last year get that try. Reynolds ran 80m on his busted knee and ran down Sandow tacking him into touch 1m out from the try line in one of the highlights of the season.
Luke Keary continues to score. Bagging a triple against the Eels.
The ARLC really needs to find a way to have standalone rep weekends. This year all teams ahve had 3 weekends off. With better co-ordination these could have been used as representative weekends.
Today Souths only had 14 missed tackles and 5 handling errors one of their best for the year and paved the way for a good win. Effective 1st tackles drifted to 32.6m with a poor second half.
Looking at our left side defence - Hunt-Farrell-Sutton-McQueen (0-0-0-0) was great with no missed tackles between them. On the right side Merritt-Everingham-Reynolds-Taylor (1-1-3-2) was improved to only 7 missed tackles between them.
On the positive side only Taylor cracked 100+m. Defensively McQueen and Lowe were our best in the tackling raking up 30 tackles. With Geddes, McQueen, Lowe, Tyrrell and Clark not missing a tackle.
