Souths fell to the pressure of semi-final football after a well drilled Melbourne team put on 14 early points and 2 tries from simple scrum set plays. Looking at our left side defence - Merritt-King-Sutton-Pettybourne (2-0-1-0) was improved at 3 from 10 missed tackles last week. On the right side Everingham-Farrell-Reynolds-Taylor (3-2-2-2) was still poor at 9 from 12 last week.

On the positive side our missed tackles and error rate for the match as whole was good. Our go forward was steady this week with Sam Burgess, Taylor, Crocker and Luke cracking the 100+m.
