The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their team to take on the Sydney Roosters in round one of 2012 Telstra Premiership being played this Monday 5 March at 7pm at ANZ Stadium. Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire has named a 19-man squad for the first leg of the Ron Coote Cup in 2012. The Rabbitohs welcome back centre Greg Inglis, winger Nathan Merritt, and interchange players Scott Geddes and Chris McQueen for round one from the team selected to play in the Charity Shield a fortnight ago. Gates open at ANZ Stadium at 4:40pm with the Toyota Cup match kicking off at 4:45pm, and the NRL game scheduled for a 7pm kick off. The Rabbitohs are aiming for a record NRL Monday Night Football crowd at this traditional clash with their arch rivals, the Roosters. The current record stands at 30,120 and the Club is encouraging all Members and supporters to come to ANZ Stadium on Monday night to get behind the team live at the game.
