The South Sydney Rabbitohs are delighted to announce the signing of Ben Te'o for seasons 2013, 2014 and 2015 today. Te’o, 25, has played 96 NRL matches since making his debut for the Wests Tigers in 2007, playing two seasons in Sydney before shifting to Brisbane for four seasons with the Broncos. Te’o, who weighs in at 106kg and stands 189cm tall, represented Samoa at the 2008 World Cup and has been a key member of the Broncos’ forward pack in their strong start to the 2012 season. He was also 18th man for the Queensland Origin side in 2011. Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire says he’s happy to be bringing an experienced and successful forward into the squad in 2013. "I've met with Ben and he’s a highly motivated young man who wants to achieve great heights in Rugby League," Coach Maguire said. "He's prepared to work hard to achieve his and the team's goals, in terms of premiership success and playing representative football, and it’s this drive and work ethic that led us to approaching him about joining the Rabbitohs for the next three years and beyond. "He will add experience and power to our pack in attack and defence and we’re looking forward to welcoming him to South Sydney next year."
