Tonight the Souths Sydney Rabbitohs launched their 2013 the Rabbitohs 106th season in fine style at The Star Casino in Sydney. It was a night attended by players, club officials and sponsors. First up was Chairman Nick Pappas on stage at the Season Launch. He indicated that "Michael Maguire has brought a new feeling to this team" and "The club is in a very good place right now". Next up was club CEO Shane Richardson. "Our Football department has a clean bill of health. Michael Maguire always talks about not being complacent, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy it. We have a great team and a great club."

Then the players were introduced with the 2013 Rabbitohs NRL squad getting a rousing reception.

The final speaker was Michael Maguire. "2012 was a successful season but it was a tough old change room (after the Preliminary final)". And then on our 2013 season build up "The pre-season boot-camp, it was horrific. Sometimes I wondered if I should let them do this to the boys". After the formalities were over it was time for the players and Souths management to mingle with club sponsors. All in all a great night as the Rabbitohs look forward to meeting teh Roosters in a weeks time.
