The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their teams to take on the St George Illawarra Dragons on Saturday 5 April at the Sydney Cricket Ground in a feature match of the NRL’s Men of League Heritage Round, with the NRL kick off scheduled for 7:30pm. Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire has named captain John Sutton at five-eighth in his 212th NRL match, a game which will see him become South Sydney’s most-capped first grade player of all time, surpassing Bob McCarthy’s record of 211 first grade games in the cardinal and myrtle jersey. Dylan Walker will shift to the centres with Bryson Goodwin moving out to the wing. Dave Tyrrell will start at prop this week with Sam Burgess shifting to lock, with Ben Te’o coming back into the starting line up in the second row. Coach Maguire has named two possible debutants, Alex Johnston and Cameron McInnes, on his six-man bench. This will be the first game of Rugby League played at the recently revamped Sydney Cricket Ground, giving Members and supporters of both the Rabbitohs and Dragons the first experience of Rugby League at the new-look stadium.
