The South Sydney Rabbitohs are delighted to announce the contract extension of South Sydney junior Jason Clark until the end of the 2016 season. Clark, 24, has played 77 first grade games for the Rabbitohs since making his debut for the Club in 2009, after captaining the Rabbitohs first under 20s outfits in 2008 and 2009. The Coogee-Randwick Wombats junior is passionate about the Rabbitohs and the South Sydney community, being a leader amongst the playing group in the community- and school-based programs run by Souths Cares. Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire is pleased to see Clark remain in the red and green for a further two years. “Clarky is one of the most passionate and professional players we have in our squad and I’m really happy that we have been able to extend his contract with us for another couple of seasons,” Coach Maguire said. “He works very hard on his game and leads the team both on and off the field. “He’s a South Sydney junior who always talks about his dream of representing South Sydney and we’re glad that he’s able to fulfill that dream here with us.” Clark said he only wants to play for the one Club. “I’m a South Sydney junior having played all of my junior footy with the Wombats and I can’t ever really see myself playing in anything but a Rabbitohs jersey,” Clark said. “I love this Club and my team mates and everyone in my family are big Rabbitohs supporters. “I’m looking forward to working with ‘Madge’ and the team over the next few years and hopefully we can work hard and progress our game to achieve our goals together as a group.”
