Souths Juniors Leagues Club
After an overwhelming show of support at ANZ Stadium at the Grand Final, the South Sydney Rabbitohs playing squad could hardly have expected the reception awaiting them at Souths Juniors just hours after lifting the Provan-Summons Trophy. Thousands of excited Rabbitohs Members and supporters descended on Souths Juniors to show their appreciation for the team, with police closing ANZAC Parade to accommodate the growing group of Rabbitohs faithful. 'We are champions' chants rang out over the South Sydney district for the first time since 1971 as Members and supporters soaked up the realisation that the Rabbitohs had notched up a record 21st Premiership crown. Rabbitohs players addressed the crowd, even leading the singing and chants at various stages before Issac Luke raised the trophy high over Anzac Parade for all to see.
