10th June 2015
It was great to be back into winning mode again. Thats 3 wins in a row including a record win over the Warriors in front of a record crowd in Perth. We are now going in the right direction with 5 more wins away from qualifying for the finals in 2015 and 2 points oput of the Top 4
Dylan Walker seems to like playing over in Perth and again played a inspirational 50th FG game scoring two tries, including a great try he setup from nothing.
Cody Walker continues to be a Bears stand out player with a great kicking and passing game.
Gabe Hamlin and Siosa Talakai both were rewarded in the call up from U18s into the U20s squad. And then both rewarded with a call up into the NSW U20s squad. These two are stars in the making.
I want to congratulate the NSWRL and NRL on the great venue that has been setup in Scully Park Tamworth. It shows by sharing around the City v Country fixture through key regional Rugby Legaue locations we can establish a lasting legacy for bush football.
