15th August 2019
The South Sydney Rabbitohs are excited to announce the signing of young halfback Troy Dargan for the 2020 and 2021 seasons today.
Dargan, a 21-year-old halfback of Australian Indigenous and Cook Islander heritage, made his international debut for the Cook Islands against South Africa earlier this year. Dargan also represented the Australian Schoolboys in 2014 alongside current Rabbitohs Tom Amone and Connor Tracey, and New South Wales under 20s in 2017 where he played with Cameron Murray. Dargan will be part of the Rabbitohs top-30 squad for the next two seasons.
“Troy is a wonderful talent and he will add to the depth of our halves stocks for at least the next two years. He comes from a great pedigree of representative football for New South Wales, Australia and the Cook Islands and we’re certain that he will thrive under the coaching of Wayne (Bennett) and his team here at Souths. , said Richardson.
