5 day turnaround debacle

After a 2 good wins, with SOO in between. The team headed down the round to Wollongong for a 5 day turnaround late night Thursday night clash. Our SOO reps were playing their 3 game in 9 days. But that was not a excuse for the debacle that occurred in the first half where we let in 32 points, our worst half of football since 2017. While there was improvements in the second half we can't take any team for granted. Still 6 more wins to make the finals.

Mamouzelos rotten luck

Just as Pistol Pete was getting ready for his important first back up period for Damien Cook, he broke a bone in his hand and will be out for 6-8 weeks. This will hurt us over the coming weeks and hope he gets back on the park fit and well for the finals and the RLWC.

Cody Hodge Hatrick

Cody Hodge a country boy from Wagga has made his mark in his arrival in South Sydney reserve grade team. On the weekend he has scored a hatrick on left wing taking his tally to 4 tries in 2 games. Brother of Tyson Hodge, he is a player to watch for the rest of the year.

Duncan a double

Tallis Duncan continues to impress in U21s and on the weekend scored a double. And has been rewarded for his efforts in his selection in the Malta team.

Girls almost steal another win

It was a tough day over in Liverpool against top 4 team the Mounties. But the girls come from behind effort almost stole the show when they scored a late try draw level, but the kick at goal to win the game was unsuccessful.

Bears Perth Expansion Push

This week has seen a big public push for the return of the Bears but this time as a joint venture with the proposed Perth team. The plan would include a few games at NSO with the majority at Perth. The 18th team seems to be coming down to race between Central Coast Bears, Perth, Ipswich and NZ2. So the Perth Bears bid could be a good balance and also act as a insurance policy if another covid style event occurs again.
