To better define the different catergories of club games that are represented in this website. The below infor graphic highlights that there are many different First Grade competitions, not just the NSWRL/ARL/NRL Premiership. The SSR Almanac has looked other other sports before introducing three game types to help better explain a players playing career. The first term is the Cup Games, which explains non-premiership competion games. The second is Tour Games, which are used to explain games against touring teams on when the South Sydney Rabbitohs would go on tour. The third is Short-Form Games, which cover 7s, 9s or matches played over less than half a game.

Defintions
First Grade Premiership Match Tallies - includes premiership matches. It excludes - other competitions, trials, short form games and all tour matches.
First Grade Cup Match Tallies - includes all non-premiership full match competition matches. It includes City Cup, Midweek Cup, Ampol Cup, State Cup, Ch 10 Challenge Cup, State Championship, Australian Club Championship, Premier Challenges, World Club Championship and Pre-Season Competitions. It excludes - trials, short form games and non-competition tour matches.
First Grade Tour Match Tallies - includes all non-competition matches usually against teams while on tour or against touring teams after early season trials have concluded. It excludes - trials and short form games.
First Grade Competition Match Tallies - premiership + cup games.
First Grade Club Match Tallies - premiership + cup + tour games.
Senior Grade Match Tallies - first grade + reserve grade + third grade senior games.
Challenge games - occur when a premier is challenged by the premiers of another rugby league competition within 12 months. eg World Club Challenge, Australian Club Championship, State Club Championship
