Kable a local South Sydney junior, Kable was was graded by South Sydney in 1936 and made his senior grade premiership debut in the 1936 Round 6 clash against North Sydney at North Sydney Oval. The following year he stepped up making his reserve grade debut in the Round 2 City Cup Reserve Grade clash against Canterbury-Bankstown at Belmore Oval. In 1939 he transfered to play in Dubbo.
In 1940 he returned to South Sydney. Kable was called in to make his first grade when both hookers Percy Fairall and Jim Hale were unavailable. He made his first grade premiership debut in the 1940 Round 10 clash against St George at Hurstville Oval.
Kable played 5 seasons for South Sydney between 1936 and 1941. He played 10 first grade club games for South Sydney which included 8 first grade premiership games.
