One time South Sydney Reserve Grade premiership winner in 2023, who also won the NRL Reserve Grade State Championship with South Sydney, scoring a hatrick in the decider.
Munro was born in Moree and spotted in Moree by Buddy Gordon during a Indigenous Souths Cares local community visit. Gordon invited him to trial with Souths U17s team. He made his South Sydney senior grade premiership debut in the 2022 U21 Round 8 clash against Manly-Warringah at Redfern Oval. 2023 was a breakout year for Munro. He started the year in the U19 SG Ball team, before breaking his colarbone. He then returned in the U21 Flegg team, Then with backline injuries mounting, he go his chance in Reserve Grade(NSW Cup) in the 2023 Round 15 clash against St George-Illawarra at Kogarah Jubilee Oval, before getting his call up into the NRL. Three weeks later he made his South Sydney first grade premiership debut in the 2023 Round 18 clash against the Warriors at the Mt Smart Stadium. Munro has the distinction of scoring on debut in every South Sydney senior and junior grade. Starting with U17s(Matts) in 2021, U19s(SG Ball) and U21s(Flegg) in 2022 and Reserve Grade(NSW Cup) and First Grade(NRL) in 2023.
Munro is a tall, fast winger with unbelievable turn of speed, who has a ability to find the try line or setup a try on the run.
In 2024 Munro missed most of the season after breaking his colarbone twice, one at training and then on his return to football.
In 2021 Munro was the South Sydney U16 player of the year, and the 2023 South Sydney Rookie of the Year. In 2024 Munro won the Provan-Summons Medal as he thanked rugby league community after his family double tragedy.
