Tass was born in Mackay Queensland. In 2017 he came down to play junior reps with South Sydney, before joining Canterbury and then heading to Brisbane during covid. In 2022 he returned to South Sydney making his South Sydney senior grade premiership debut in the Round 1 Reserve Grade clash against Canterbury-Bankstown at the Belmore Sports Ground. Just over a month later he was called in to make his NRL and South Sydney first grade premiership debut in the 2022 Round 6 clash against Canterbury-Bankstown at Stadium Australia.
Tass is a fleet footer runner, who has the ability catch a high ball and a great ability to get a ball away in traffic in attacking moves. He formed a leathal left side combination with Alex Johnston in 2022 and 2023.
Tass suffered a season ending calf injury.
Tass made his representative debut in 2023 when he was called up into the Australian Indigenous All-Star team against te New Zealand Maori's.
