Jarman is a South African rugby union player who came to Australia, who server in Boer War for South Africa. Upon arriving in Australia in 1907, Jarman played for South Sydney RU, before coming across to League ranks in 1908. He made his first grade premiership debut in the inaugural 1908 Round 1 clash against North Sydney at Birchgrove Oval.
Jarman was a winger from South Africa with a great reputation. He would give the opposition a lot of trouble and had a good passing game.

Jarman made his representative debut while at South Sydney playing in the 1908 NSW Probables verses Possibles match at the RAS Showground.
