The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their teams for round 17 of the 2016 NRL Premiership against the North Queensland Cowboys with the NRL fixture to be played at Barlow Park in Cairns this Sunday 3 July at 4pm. Halfback Adam Reynolds will return to the side following an injury sustained in the second State of Origin game last week. Rabbitohs veteran John Sutton will play his 250th NRL game for the Club this Sunday afternoon. He becomes the first player in the Club’s history to achieve this milestone. Sutton made his first grade debut against the Brisbane Broncos in round 17 of the 2004 season, and will now make his 250th appearance almost 12 years to the day since playing in that first match. This is the fourth consecutive year the Rabbitohs have taken a home game to Barlow Park in Cairns. With the support of Tourism and Events Queensland and Cairns Regional Council, a bumper crowd is expected for the clash Hymel Hunt, George Burgess, Goodwin, Talakai, Musgrove, Oldfield, Crichton, Travers, Whitelaw, Langi and Goolagong were unavailable due to injury. Carter is suspended.
