The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their NRL team for round 22 of the 2016 NRL Premiership against the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park this Saturday 6 August, with the NRL fixture scheduled to kick off at 7:30pm. Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire will welcome back captain Greg Inglis into his side for this weekend’s clash, Hymel Hunt returns from injury, Joe Burgess returns to the wing and Thomas Burgess will start from the interchange bench having completed his suspension. This week the Rabbitohs will feature the Ovarian Cancer Australia logo on the centre chest and upper back of the team’s jersey as part of the Crown Resorts Foundation Charity Challenge. Goodwin, Keary, Talakai, Whitelaw, Langi, Greinke, Rudolf and Goolagong were unavailable due to injury. Mawene Hiroti and Graham are on representative duties.
South Sydney Rabbitohs are proud to be a part of the third Crown Resorts Foundation Charity Challenge this Saturday night at AAMI Park against the Melbourne Storm. The game will see Crown Resorts partner with both clubs to raise much needed funds for Ovarian Cancer Australia. The initiative will also coincide with the NRL’s Women in League Round with both teams to wear a specially designed jersey showcasing the Ovarian Cancer Australia logo. Ovarian cancer has the lowest survival rate of any women’s cancer with 1,500 women diagnosed every year – 1,000 of which will die within five years. Ovarian Cancer Australia is a not-for-profit national organisation providing support for women and their families while also raising community awareness of ovarian cancer. Crown will kick off the fundraising by donating $20,000 to Ovarian Cancer Australia as well as an additional $1,000 for every try scored on the night. Crown Resorts Foundation Charity Challenge Cup will be presented to the winning captain after the game in a special on-field presentation that will include a final donation to Ovarian Cancer Australia from Crown Resorts.
