Dargan was the captain of the South Sydney reserve grade team during the Covid years of 2020 and 2021.
Dargan came to South Sydney after playing in the Parramatta pathways and spending two seasons in the Queensland Cup with Norths-Brisbane. Dargan was also a international before coming to South Sydney, reprsenting The Cook Islands in 2019. He made his South Sydney senior grade premiership debut as captain in the 2020 Round 1 reserve grade clash against Newtown at Redfern Oval. But with the advent of Covid the NSWRL lower grades were cancelled for the rest of the 2020 season, after only one game. He made his first grade premiership debut, once the 2020 NRL season restarted, in the Round 3 clash behind closed doors against the Sydney Roosters at the Western Sydney Stadium.
Dargan normally a halfback before coming to South Sydney, moved to five-eighth, as he was a left foot kicker.
Dargan played 2 seasons with South Sydney. He played only 2 first grade premiership games with South Sydney. He played 12 senior grade premiership games with South Sydney.
Dargan's final first grade premiership game, was a week after his debut, in the 2020 Round 4 clash against Melbourne at the Mebourne Rectangular Stadium. He played on in 2021 as South Sydney reserve grade captain, playing his final senior grade premiership game for South Sydney in the 2021 Round 14 clash against Newcastle at Stadium Australia. The following week the NSWRL Lower Grades were once again suspended for the rest of the season due to Covid.

Dargan died, in a motorcycle accident in Aitutaki, while on holiday with his family in the Cook Islands on Christmas Eve 2023.
