One time South Sydney Reserve Grade premiership winner in 2023, who missing playing in the 2023 NRL State Championship through leg injury sustained in the Grand Final.
Lovett came to South Sydney after playing his junior football in Parkes, New South Wales. He made his senior grade premiership debut in the 2020 Round 1 Under20s clash against Cronulla-Sutherland at Redfern Oval, before the lower grades were suspended due to covid. He got a sniff of first grade in the 2022 trial against North Queensland in Cairns. He stepped up into Reserve Grade in the 2022 Round 4 premiership clash against North Sydney at North Sydney Oval. He made his first grade debut in the 2023 Round 1 Pre-Season Challenge against Manly-Warringah at the Central Coast Stadium. Before making his first grade premiership debut in the 2023 Round 4 clash against Manly-Warringah at Stadium Australia.
Lovett is a defensive second rower, who has played a few games at prop.
Lovett sat out the 2024 season while he recovered from a serious knee injury sustained late in 2023.
In 2021 Lovett was named the South Sydney U21 player of the year. In 2024 LOvett was award the South Sydney Clunman of the Year and the Souths Cares award for his efforts off the field and in the community while recovery from injury.
