The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their squad for their first pre-season match ahead of the 2025 season against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles to be played this Saturday 15 February at 3:30pm at Industree Group Stadium in Gosford. Rabbitohs Assistant Coach Ben Hornby has named 14 players with first grade experience for the first hit out of the year, including new recruits Lewis Dodd, Jamie Humphreys, Lachlan Hubner, and Declan Casey. Murray, Graham, Tatola, Johnston, Walker, Aitken, Mellars, Burns, Lovett, Arrow and Schuster are out injured. L.Mitchell is out ssuspended. Wighton, Munro, S.Mitchell, Sullivan and Duncan are on representative duties.
The National Rugby League (NRL) has today announced Witzer as the new naming rights partner for the 2025 Pre-Season Challenge. The competition structure and $100,000 prizemoney of the Pre-Season Challenge remain as they were for the last 2 years. With all 17 teams now participating in 2 games over 3 weekends, due to 4 teams travelling to Las Vegas. A revised sin-bin assessment process will be trialled during the competition.

The planned trial match between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Townsville Blackhawks has been cancelled due to the flood emergency currently in north Queensland.
