Crash continues
It was one of our better games in some time, as we played a strong defensive game and led the Sharks at half time. 2 tries all but in the end it was missed goal the difference when we played with 12 men for a period with a unbeleiveable 2-10 penalty count and 1-5 6 again count. But it was our 8th staright loss as we dropped to last on the first grade table, as the disappointing season continues. Now we head up to Brisbane where the Broncos are looking to inflick another loss against their the former coach.
Fletcher get the chances
Thomas Fletcher is doing a Bradbury as he gets his cahce this week on the bench. A second rower from Coonable, who had a injury riddled season last year gets his chance after a slow and steady return during 2025. Good luck to a life long Rabbitohs fan living his dream.
Kelso called up
Cody Kelso was the latest name plucked from the Coogee Dolphins A Grade, during the Rabbitoh injury crisis He had a good debut in reserve grade from the bench and looks like a good size prop. He gets another chance this week. I like what I see in the son of Jamie Kelso.
Jennings Australian Schoolboy
Six players played in the Australian Schoolboys carnival on the weekend, with Dwayne Jennings being the pick getting selected in the AUstralian Schoolboys team who will play PNG at the end of the season. Jennings a star in our U19 team and it won't be long before he gets a opportunity in the seniors.
Yaranamua scores a double
Louise Yaranamua has been a revelation in our NSWRL Womens team. She has a great passing and running game for a big girl who plays five-eighth. She setup 3 tries and scored two herself on the weekend in a great performance, and a key reason why our girl are on the rise in 2025.
English Super League Expansion
There are moves over in England to move from 12 to 14 teams, where two clubs will step up into the top league once again. This expansion will be good for the game in the old Dart with clubs like York ready to make their mark. The English league however needs a stronger pressence down south in and around London. The ESL needs to create a rivalry of 2 to 4 teams. Once they do that they can finally become a true English league.
