A few minutes later they had across the for the second. And by the midway mark of the half they had a nother two tries and were scoring a point a minut, leading 20 nil. Then in a complete about face after the break, it was all South Sydnye as they mounted a comeback. First Fletcher crashed over for a try . Soon after we saw Ataata cross under the posts. A few minutes later Myers was in in the corner. Suddenly it was 18 to 30, with South Sydney storming home. But is a backline sweep later in the half a dropped ball saw the Knight sweep onto the ball and run 80m to score to wrap up the game. The Rabbitohs weren't done with and French crashed over to score under the posts. The final result a loss 24 to 36.

Late Changes - Stariha was the concussion sub. Lua and Wolfe dropped off the bench. The team kicked off with a strong westerly wind blowing across the ground. The match started in a strong arm wrestle of a contest with strong defence from both teams. It was South Sydney who finally broke the deadlock in the 29th minute scoring under the posts with a crash ball. Scored remained close at 6 nil at halftime. After a period of sustained pressure in the second half. Rabbitohs finally got a opportunity and a nice set play from the scrum saw Tovio score out wide. With 20 minutes to go the Knights scored out wide after a dropped bomb. But in a few minutes it was another well worked backline play and Tovio crosses for his second. Poynton kicks a brilliant sideline conversion into a gale force wind. A penalty goal by Poynton extended our lead. The Knights hit back with a cross field bomb late in the game. But South Sydney hold on to win 18 to 10, in one of their best defensive efforts all year.

Late Changes - Ahokava-Loto'aniu was the concussion sub. Mayol and Sa'anga dropped off the bench. The match was played in the middle of the Athletics track with very narrow in-goals. Rabbitohs capilitsed on a early opportunity, in a sweeping backline play to the right O'Brien sent Rae over in the corner. Penrith hit back with a nice cutout pass as they scored in the corner. Penrith made it back to back tries, when they caught the Rabbitohs defence napping on the right side. Penrith marched up the middle and scored their 3rd try in 6 minutes. They were in again through another powerful run up the middle. Penrith are now leading 4 to 22. Two try saving tackle one by Kalland and the other by Rae & O'Brien stemmed the tide of points as Penrith went into break leading 4 to 22. Soon after the break South Sydney hit back with a barnstorming try to Tupou-Witchman, with McGregor converting the lead reduced to 12 points. 10 to 22. A fantastic length of the field try to Rae started from backline sweeping play from a scrum then saw RAe beat 4 diffender theough her speed and swerve to score. Goal from the sideline by McGregor and the gap had reduced to 6 points. 16 to 22. Another great try saver by Yaranamua. South Sydney continued the comeback and backline play saw O'Brien in space and she steped past the defence to score. Another tough conversion and we ere locked up at 22 all, with 13 minutes on the clock.
