One time South Sydney U21(Jersey Flegg Cup) premiership winner in 2019. One time South Sydney reserve grade premiership winner in 2023, who also won the 2023 NRL State Championship with South Sydney.
French is a Central Coast junior, who came through the North Sydney junior rep program. He made his senior grade debut with South Sydney's U20s feeder team North Sydney in the 2018 Round 3 clash against St George-Illawarra at Ron Costello Oval. Fernch was one of the players impacted by Covid, making his Reserve Grade debut in the 2021 Round 1 clash against Penrith at Penrith Park.
When covid again stopped the season in 2021, French departed South Sydney and played with Mt Pritchard before returning to South Sydney late in the 2023 season. After a successfully 2023 season, he made his South Sydney first grade trial debut against Manly-Warringah at Central Coast Stadium in 2024. He returned a few weeks later to make his South Sydney first grade cup debut against the Sydney Roosters in the Round 2 Pre-Season Challenge clash at Belmore Sports Ground. With the 2024 injury crisis mounting, French was called up to make his South Sydney first grade premiership debut against St George-Illawarra at Kogarah Jubilee Oval.
French is a small in stature but big in heart back rower, who brings power and energy through the middle and a strong tackler.
