Another loss
It was a tough hit out at the swamp as we battled once again with 14 players on the sideline. We hung into the contest, but the Top 4 opposition were able to grind us out of the match after 60 minutes. The team continues its learning, but the end of the season is fast approaching. Now for a 5 day turn around against the top of the table Storm.
Jye Gray shinning light
Jye Gray continues to be one of the best on the paddock, playing out of position at fullback. His energy and kick returns have helped significantly. He scored another great try using his speed to get around the opposition.
Shaq is back
After a long stint on the sidelines, it was great to see Shaq Mitchell return back the field in recent weeks. Having a genuine prop in the team has helped signficantly. Added is his ball playing and and he added a try to boot. Great to see him called back into first grade this week.
Field bags a double
Jack Field returned at half on the weekend, in a tough match against the Sharks, and he made an immediate impact scoring two great tries. One was a long distance effort. Looking forward to him continuing his efforts.
Daisy Gordon double
Daisy Gordon is becoming the star at the back of our womens team. On the weekend she headed down to Canberra and bagged two tries.
Kasey Badger banned
It was a interesting week when the Badgers went to Shark Park. Gavin Badger, who has retired as referee, was in the box helping out South Sydney and is working with the team off field. But on the weekend Kasey Badger, Gavins wife was appointed a video referee for the match. After the match the NRL decided it wasn't a good look, so they banned her from refereeig Rabbitoh games.
